Director of Information Technology – Houston, TXLead technology where strategy meets business performanceVerdant Specialty Solutions is seeking a Director of Information Technology to lead the Company’s global IT function and technology strategy. This highly visible leadership role reports directly to the CEO and is responsible for enterprise applications, SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud, infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud services, and IT operations across the organization.As Verdant’s senior IT leader, you’ll partner with executive and functional leadership to align technology investments with business priorities, optimize enterprise systems, strengthen cybersecurity and governance, and identify opportunities to improve business performance through technology, automation, and data.This role is onsite and based in Houston, Texas.Why This Role Is a Fit for YouExecutive Visibility: Partner directly with the CEO and business leaders to shape technology strategy and priorities.Enterprise Impact: Lead technology across Verdant’s global, multi-site organization.SAP Leadership: Provide strategic oversight and governance of Verdant’s SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud environment.Transformation: Drive technology, automation, and process improvements that enhance efficiency, scalability, and decision-making.What You’ll DoDevelop and execute Verdant’s global IT strategy, governance framework, and technology roadmap.Lead enterprise applications, SAP business systems, infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud services, end-user computing, and IT support.Provide strategic oversight of SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud, including enhancement prioritization and business process optimization.Partner with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Finance, Procurement, Commercial, and other functions to implement effective technology solutions.Strengthen enterprise cybersecurity, disaster recovery, business continuity, and IT governance.Lead and develop internal IT and SAP teams while managing technology vendors, consultants, and managed service providers.Manage IT operating and capital budgets, technology contracts, software licensing, and strategic technology investments.Identify opportunities to automate processes, improve data integrity and reporting, and leverage emerging technologies.What Sets You ApartStrategic, business-focused technology leader who connects IT priorities to organizational objectives.Strong executive presence with the ability to translate complex technology issues into practical business solutions.Collaborative leadership style with the ability to influence across functions and lead organizational change.Strong understanding of enterprise technology, cybersecurity, SAP-enabled business processes, and IT governance.Commitment to continuous improvement, operational excellence, and high-quality IT service delivery.What You BringBachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.10+ years of progressive IT experience, including at least 5 years in an IT leadership role.Demonstrated experience with SAP S/4HANA or a comparable SAP enterprise environment; SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud experience strongly preferred.Experience leading IT within a manufacturing, chemical, industrial, or other complex multi-site operating environment.Experience with IT strategy, cybersecurity, cloud technologies, disaster recovery, enterprise technology projects, budgets, and third-party service providers.Professional certifications such as PMP, ITIL, CISSP, CISM, Microsoft Azure, AWS, or SAP-related certifications preferred.About VerdantVerdant Specialty Solutions is a global specialty chemicals manufacturer combining innovation, agility, and operational excellence.
